Manga versus anime
Soryu in the television series and Shikinami in the Rebuild films are alternate-continuity characters, not one biography with interchangeable events.
The original develops Asuka through domestic friction and psychological interiority, while Rebuild changes her background, relationships and isolation. Yuko Miyamura voices both versions.
