Design for a tiny circle
Use one clear focal point, high contrast around the face and a simple background. Test the image at 48 pixels before adding detail.
Avoid accidental imitation
Change the overall silhouette, colour relationships, costume logic and distinctive props. Removing a logo is not enough if the character remains recognisably copied.
