Demographic is not genre
Shounen, shoujo, seinen and josei usually describe the intended readership of a Japanese publication. Romance, horror, sports and fantasy are genres that can appear in any demographic.
Use labels carefully
An original anime may not have a manga-demographic label at all. International marketing categories can also simplify the original context.
