Recommended order

Watch the original Inuyasha television series first, then Inuyasha: The Final Act. That pair forms the main route through Kagome and Inuyasha's story.

  • Inuyasha
  • Inuyasha: The Final Act
  • Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon after the original story
  • Films as optional side viewing

The four films

The theatrical films are optional. They use the established cast and setting but are not required to move from the original series into The Final Act. Viewers who want the cleanest first watch can save all four until after the main story.

Where Yashahime belongs

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon follows a later generation and draws on outcomes and relationships from Inuyasha. It works best after The Final Act rather than as an introduction to the franchise.

Streaming labels can differ

Confirm whether a service lists The Final Act as a separate title. Also check audio and subtitle options for your region before starting a long subscription-based watch.
