Profile overview
Loke's central conflict is not that he broke a rule accidentally; he knowingly accepts punishment to stop Karen's abuse of Aries. The story respects that resistance while asking whether a rigid legal system can recognize the moral reason behind it.
His exaggerated flirting works as both comedy and concealment. As death approaches, the social confidence of Loke gives way to Leo's guilt, making Lucy's refusal to abandon him the relationship that finally reconnects identity, duty and home.
Loke is the human identity used by Leo, the Lion and one of the twelve Gold Key Celestial Spirits. Under contract to Karen Lilica, he objects when she mistreats Aries and remains in the human world so Karen cannot open another spirit gate. Leo demands that she release both spirits, but Karen refuses and eventually takes a mission despite being unable to summon. After Sorano Agria kills her, the Celestial Spirit King holds Leo responsible for remaining outside his gate and bars him from returning home. Leo survives in Earth Land by joining Fairy Tail as Loke, hiding his nature behind flirtation and competent Ring Magic. Three years without returning to the Spirit World gradually exhausts his life. Lucy Heartfilia discovers the truth and refuses to accept his death as justice, summoning the Celestial Spirit King and arguing that Leo acted to protect a fellow spirit. Her appeal restores him. Leo then gives Lucy his key and becomes one of her strongest partners, able to enter battle through a summoned gate or, at considerable cost, by opening his own path to her side.
