Profile overview
Sorano's chosen name expresses the freedom she wants, but her first magic system reproduces captivity. She owns keys, disposes of spirits and assumes that control will keep her from becoming powerless again. Lucy's counterexample shows that a contract can sustain mutual loyalty rather than erase another being's will.
Crime Sorciere gives Sorano a difficult alternative to both prison and unrestricted escape. Membership does not pretend her past never happened; it lets her use freedom as a responsibility, working beside other former offenders who choose what they will do with another chance.
Sorano Agria is Yukino Agria's older sister. The sisters are separated when Sorano is taken into the system surrounding the Tower of Heaven, and the child who longs to be free eventually becomes Angel of Oracion Seis. As a Celestial Spirit mage, Angel treats contracts as ownership and holds keys including Gemini, Aries, Scorpio and the weapon-like Caelum. Her battle with Lucy Heartfilia becomes a conflict between two ways of relating to spirits. Lucy, supported by Hibiki's knowledge, defeats her with Urano Metria, and Sorano is imprisoned with the rest of Oracion Seis. Years later the former dark guild is released during the Tartaros crisis. Jellal defeats its members and offers them a place in Crime Sorciere, a guild organized around atonement rather than Brain's control. Sorano accepts and develops Angel Magic that summons supernatural beings at personal cost. During the Alvarez war she fights for Fiore and finally recognizes Yukino, closing the separation that shaped both sisters.
