Manga versus anime
The manga establishes Jellal's Tower of Heaven manipulation, Siegrain projection, amnesiac return and later Crime Sorcière mission as one continuous atonement arc.
The anime retains those foundations while expanding childhood scenes, council activity and later encounters through adaptation and original arcs. Mystogan resembles Jellal but is a separate Edolas character, not another projection. Daisuke Namikawa voices Jellal in Japanese.
