Recommended first-time order
Start with the original Bleach television series, then continue to Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. That route follows the main animated story without requiring any film as preparation.

- Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War
- Optional films and specials after you know the main cast
Where the films fit
Memories of Nobody, The DiamondDust Rebellion, Fade to Black and Hell Verse are optional theatrical stories. They can be enjoyed for extra character interactions and animation, but a first-time viewer does not need to interrupt the main series to understand the core continuation.
Filler and skipping decisions
Long-running broadcast anime can contain anime-original arcs. Decide whether to include them according to your viewing goal: a complete broadcast experience, or the shortest route through the main adaptation. Keep a record of skipped episode ranges instead of jumping between unsourced lists.
Before starting Thousand-Year Blood War
Finish the main original-series storyline first. Thousand-Year Blood War assumes familiarity with Ichigo, the Soul Reapers, Arrancar conflicts and the structure of Soul Society.
