Manga versus anime
The manga introduces Baraggan as a battlefield commander before revealing the history that makes his service to Aizen a forced submission. VIZ's volume 42 guide places his conflict within the captains' continuing war against the Espada.
The anime gives Respira visible spread, sound and environmental decay while episode 281 foregrounds Baraggan's lost crown. Official TV Tokyo guides document the power of ageing and the Hachigen–Soi Fon counter; Shozo Iizuka voices Baraggan in Japanese, with the battle's result reserved for spoiler-marked coverage.
