Profile overview
Cirucci's battle is a contest over discarded weapons and retained options. She sheds damaged parts of Golondrina to concentrate power, while Uryu treats every fragment and line of attack as information. What looks like waste to one fighter becomes the pattern the other uses to understand the release.
Her defeat also separates Uryu's precision from cruelty. He aims the Seele Schneider at the source of her spiritual power and leaves her alive, refusing the expectation that victory requires execution. The Exequias then enforce Las Noches' harsher rule, demonstrating how little mercy an Arrancar can expect from her own organization.
Cirucci Sanderwicci is Arrancar 105, a former Espada reassigned to the Privaron after losing her place among Aizen's current elite. She confronts Uryu Ishida inside Las Noches, releasing Golondrina and turning its wing-like blades into a changing ranged assault. Uryu disables her power without intending to kill her, but the Exequias execute her afterward; Mayuri Kurotsuchi later revives her for his Corpse Unit.
Personality and motivation
- Proud
- Sharp-tongued
- Competitive
- Impatient with mockery
- Adaptive when a weapon is damaged
Abilities, powers and limitations
Abilities
- Using Sonido, Hierro and an Arrancar's spiritual perception during fast middle-range combat
- Wielding a whip-like sealed Zanpakuto that can attack along flexible and difficult-to-read paths
- Releasing Golondrina to form broad wing structures armed with numerous sharp feather-like blades
- Launching and controlling bladed projectiles through attached spiritual cords before drawing them back into another formation
- Discarding damaged wing sections to concentrate remaining power into a heavier close-range weapon
- Returning through Mayuri's preservation and modification as a member of the Kurotsuchi Corpse Unit
Limits
- Golondrina's many moving blades create angles but also give an analytical opponent repeated information about their paths and control lines.
- Discarded release components cannot simply be restored during the same battle, narrowing Cirucci's options as damage accumulates.
- Uryu's Seele Schneider can disrupt the spiritual-power source sustaining her released state without requiring a fatal strike.
- Pesche's interruptions repeatedly break the rhythm Cirucci tries to impose, making frustration another tactical vulnerability.
- Her revived body fights under Mayuri's control rather than returning her former rank or independence.
Aliases
Cirucci, Privaron Espada 105, Kurotsuchi Corpse Unit member
Role
Former Espada whose bladed Resurreccion tests Uryu's precision and mercy
Important relationships
- Uryu Ishida studies Golondrina rather than matching it with brute force, defeats Cirucci precisely and chooses to spare her life.
- Pesche Guatiche supports Uryu through disruptive comedy and unexpected interference that Cirucci finds increasingly difficult to ignore.
- Rudbornn Chelute's Exequias execute Cirucci after Uryu leaves, enforcing Aizen's refusal to tolerate defeated Arrancar.
- Sosuke Aizen's revised Espada hierarchy demotes Cirucci to number 105 and makes lost status part of every Privaron battle.
- Mayuri Kurotsuchi recovers and modifies Cirucci, placing her beside Dordoni, Charlotte and Luppi in a unit whose members have already died once.
Defining moments
- Revealing the 105 designation identifies Cirucci as a former elite whose current battle is inseparable from demotion.
- Releasing Golondrina turns an elegant silhouette into a dense field of blades, cords and changing attack paths.
- Cutting away damaged wings shows Cirucci adapting aggressively instead of preserving the appearance of a failing release.
- Being disabled rather than killed by the Seele Schneider demonstrates the control behind Uryu's Quincy technique.
- Falling to the Exequias after receiving mercy exposes the difference between Uryu's ethics and the system Cirucci served.
- Returning with the Corpse Unit places a former opponent of a Quincy inside Soul Society's war against the Wandenreich.
Symbolism and visual design
Golondrina means swallow, pairing the image of a swift bird with bladed wings that become progressively less capable of flight.
The three-digit 105 preserves her former proximity to the Espada while formally placing her outside the current hierarchy.
Discarding feathers and wings mirrors the institution that discarded Cirucci once her power no longer fit its preferred elite.
Uryu's nonfatal precision gives her a future that Las Noches immediately removes, making mercy visible even when it cannot save its recipient.
Manga-versus-anime differences
The manga gives Cirucci and Uryu a technically detailed duel in which Golondrina changes as pieces are cut away. Her execution by the Exequias is essential context for understanding why the later Corpse Unit appearance is a resurrection, not an ordinary return.
The original anime makes the feather trajectories and spiritual cords easier to follow in motion. Thousand-Year Blood War brings Houko Kuwashima back to the role while presenting Cirucci's revived body as one element of Mayuri's answer to zombie warfare.
