Manga versus anime
The manga initially presents Larcade as a mysterious Dragneel and later reveals that he is one of Zeref's creations rather than a biological son.
The anime preserves the reveal while expanding the atmosphere around his desire-based magic, Sting's resistance and Zeref's rejection. Official material describes his ability as white magic and makes Sting's matching element central to the counter. Kensho Ono voices Larcade in Japanese.
