Michiru is not a hidden fighter waiting for an awakening. Her importance lies in remaining an ordinary person whom the stronger and more spiritually aware characters refuse to abandon. Tatsuki's decision to carry her slows escape but also defines what protection means when victory is impossible.
Her school presence contributes to the normal life Ichigo repeatedly claims to defend. Class gossip and tentative group plans may appear disposable beside battles, yet they are the actual social world threatened whenever Karakura becomes a battlefield. Michiru gives that world a specific face without needing to know its full danger.
Michiru Ogawa is a student at Karakura High School and part of the class circle around Ichigo Kurosaki, Orihime Inoue and Tatsuki Arisawa.
